FAQ

ABOUT ETIS

The government of French Polynesia requires the production of a health form for all travellers entering French Polynesia by air. This formality is in addition to the existing entry requirements for foreigners on the Polynesian territory. This formality is in force since July 12, 2020 (Order n° 525 CM of May 13, 2020 modified concerning entry measures and sanitary surveillance of arrivals in French Polynesia in the framework of the fight against covid-19) for an indefinite period.
The health form is only available at www.etis.pf. It is mandatory for all resident and non-resident travelers and must be presented at airline check-in before boarding to validate your trip to Polynesia.
Everyone (whether residents or non-residents, French citizens or not) is required to submit an ETIS application via the www.etis.pf.

Your ETIS request must be made between 30 and 6 days prior to your flight to French Polynesia and each time you enter Polynesia.

Please note that you must delete your old valid application by clicking on « Manage my file » in order to fill out a new form.

In addition, you must complete the « health request » (if you are vaccinated) or the « compelling motive and health request » (if you are not vaccinated).

Based on the stages of your French Polynesia itinerary to fill out, it takes, on average, about 10 minutes.

Any person aged at least 6 years arriving by air from a region outside French Polynesia is required to pay a fixed contribution to the costs of health surveillance in the amount of 12,000 F CFP.

Any person aged at least 6 years arriving by air from a region outside French Polynesia, having been vaccinated according to a complete vaccination scheme, is required to pay a fixed contribution to health surveillance costs of 5,000 F CFP.

For the moment, these fees will not be applied to travellers and we will communicate when the online payment will be effective.

You can access the website by typing www.etis.pf in the search tab, or by visiting the institutional websites of the country, the state and Tahiti Tourisme, as well as of the airlines (Air Tahiti Nui, French Bee, Air France, United Airlines). You can also access through travel agencies.
If your child is of age (+18 years old), he/she will have to fill out an ETIS form of his/her own. If your child is a minor (-18 years old), you will have to register as declarant and complete all information related to your child. If your child is traveling alone, you won't have to travel with him/her, but the application process remains the same. When completing the « Personal Information » tab, you will be able to check the option, « I am not traveling on this flight and I am only making a declaration on behalf of a child under 18 years old ». This will create an ETIS file in the name of your child.
Yes, all passengers of any nationality (residents and non-residents) will need to complete an ETIS application before arriving in French Polynesia.
Choose one of the two passports for your declaration.
ETIS is a mandatory health registration form and does not replace regular entry formalities into French Polynesia for foreigners. This formality is added to the existing and related entry conditions for foreigners in Polynesian territory.

ENTRY AND STAY CONDITIONS IN THE ISLANDS OF TAHITI

For travellers having stayed less than 15 days in French territory (except Guyana) or in the USA, in the United Kingdom or in a country of the green zone, before their departure towards French Polynesia, vaccinated or not.

RECEIPT AND TRAVEL INSURANCE

The platform generates an ETIS receipt in the course of instructions that you will receive by email immediately after completing all the information required in your ETIS application.
Your ETIS application is validated provided that your health application is also validated.
If you have applied for a compelling health reason, you will receive a conditional ETIS receipt upon validation of your compelling health reason application.
Yes, your receipt can be requested at any time during your stay. You will have to present a printed copy upon arrival at your destination.

If you completed the process and the platform displayed the message « Application in process » your application has been registered and an email has been generated by the platform. Please check your spam or junk mail folder or other folders in your inbox. The email may have been sent there because the .PF domain is unusual.

Otherwise, go to the « Manage my file » tab and enter your ETIS passport number and date of birth. You will then be able to access your ETIS file and return your receipt.

Go to the « Manage my file » tab and enter your passport/ETIS number and date of birth. You will then have access to your ETIS file and can send you your receipt.

If the platform does not find your file, this means that your ETIS request has not been considered and that you must proceed with a new request.

If you still have difficulties, please send an email to the support contact at contact@etis.pf.

To check if this is the case, you can go to the « Manage my file » tab and enter your child's passport number and date of birth.
Travel insurance is necessary for any person travelling to French Polynesia, who is not a French national and not affiliated to the French social security system with which Polynesia has agreements. Otherwise, you commit yourself to assume the health expenses incurred in French Polynesia including in case of infection with COVID-19. The ETIS form is proof of this.

FILL OUT YOUR APPLICATION

You cannot save a partially completed form to finish it later. Once you close the etis.pf page, your data will be deleted and you will have to start the process again.

The ETIS website will allow visitors to review and correct all of their data before submitting the final application, including the following data: identity and passport number. Once the application is submitted, it will only be possible to correct the information related to the dates of stay and travel itinerary. If the traveller has made a mistake in his or her personal information or commitments after submitting the application, the traveller must delete his or her ETIS record and fill out a new form. To do this, click on the « Manage my file » tab, enter your passport/ETIS number and date of birth, and select « Delete my ETIS application ».

Please note that the ETIS form can be filled out up to 6 days before your flight to French Polynesia.

You must delete your previous application and start a new one by clicking on « Manage my file ».
The ETIS form is only valid for your current stay in Polynesia with a maximum period of three months of stay. You have to fill out an ETIS application each time you travel to French Polynesia. Be careful of not having a valid ETIS form already or delete it by clicking on « Manage my file ».
Resident.
If you need to modify a child's form, you need to log in with the declarant's passport because the child cannot make changes to it.
To modify your application, please go to the « Modify my file » tab and fill out all fields. However, only the itinerary can be modified. If you need to change any other information, you must delete this file and start a new application.

VERIFICATION OF YOUR ETIS STATUS

A valid email address is required to complete an ETIS application. Notifications regarding the status of the application are sent to the email address specified in said application. In addition, the ETIS application number, as well as the receipt, are sent to the email address. Reminders related with self-tests will also be sent by email.
Please check your SPAM/junk mail or other folders in your mailbox. The email may have been filed there, as the .pf email address is uncommon.
Otherwise, please try with another email address.
Please avoid business email addresses as corporate firewalls may block our automatic emailing.
